| Site tweaks and changes |
|
Ahoy! I thought it’s about time I introduce myself. I’m Sana, webmistress of other sites that are not Stellar Matthew. I will from now on be joining Maria in maintaining and nurturing this site to its full potential.
While recent updates may seem to be lacking, the two of us have been busy working behind the scenes on new features, none of which are ready for viewing. However, the newly re-organised gallery that was promised is up and available for viewing as regular visitors of the site may have noticed. With thousands of new additions added, from screencaptures, photoshoots to scans, tipping the gallery to 9,000+ images.
Enjoy the gallery for now, and expect a horde of updates and additions within the next few days and weeks, as its busy times ahead for Stellar Matthew!

I’ve just visited the official site of the Royal Court Theatre and guess what: ‘The Pain and the Itch’ is a hit and they’ve extended its run until August 4!

‘The Pain and the Itch’ officially opened last week with a Press Night on June 21 and the reviews are in. I’ve added some to this site’s Press Archive. They are very positive.
Last week I was able to go and see it myself. I am a rare theatre goer and may therefore not possess the know-how to review a play. However, I enjoyed it very much. It is a satire of modern American middle-class society. I felt that most parts apply perfectly to other parts of the world as well and there was many a line where I was thinking of people I’ve met. Throughout the play I stayed engaged, the action drew me right in and laughed quite a number of times. A few plot twists were forseeable but mostly it is really very cleverly plotted. The acting of all the cast was in my opinion flawless. Of course, I was very happy to see Matthew Macfadyen perform live - I had never before had the chance to do so. Once more, he confirmed what a talented actor he is. His role - though one could say Clay is mostly angry or bitter - allows him to show a whole range of emotion. There are many favourite little moments, moments were I was simply amazed at seeing yet another side of him, but I suppose my top favourite one has to be when he is literally jumping up and down because he’s convinced his brother voted for Bush. Also I was very moved by his emotional final scene.
Another new addition to the Press Archive: A naked civil servant
